The Country Home Candle Story

Country Home Candle Co. Inc. was started by Peter and Karen Northgraves in 1990 in a small garage in Tillsonburg Ontario Canada. Since those early exciting days Country Home Candle has made a few changes. Still not far from that original location, Country Home, now has a "country home." In 1995 Country Home Candle purchased a building on 4 acres of land on Hwy #3 in rural Norfolk County. Since then the property has transformed from a schoolhouse (of which both Peter's mother and grandfather went to) to a 20,000 square foot operation not including a newly built factory retail store.

The idea of making and selling a candle was great. However, the reasons for burning candles in today's age always seemed a mystery. In short a candle isn't needed for light like it was meant for 200 years ago. Instead, now in the new millennium candles are needed for even more important reasons... Comfort. With the warmth of a flame and the pleasant memories of a familiar fragrance there is nothing better for relaxing in today's world than a Country Home Candle.

Country Home Candle products are available in over 60 "comfort" fragrances and are enjoyed by people all over the world!

From those early days in the garage until now, everyone here at Country Home Candle would like to thank all of those who have supported us over the years and we look forward to providing you with all the "comfort" you need now and in the future.
